CAADA Independent Domestic Violence Advisor training

Who should apply?

The course is designed for practitioners working directly with clients at high risk of domestic violence. It is accessible to both experienced and inexperienced practitioners alike, however it is expected that all learners have a basic understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence before attending the course. Pre-course reading material will be made available to all successful applicants.

Training requirements

Please be sure that you can meet the basic training requirements of the course. All applicants must be able to:

attend all 15 days of the training

understand, speak and write good English in order to understand the training materials and be able to fully participate in classroom exercises and complete assessments

complete all compulsory assessment exercises within the timescales agreed

use IT skills and have access to a current version of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and the internet (to access on–line material and assessments and email communications)
