Recruitment

CAADA internship programme

CAADA is launching its first internship programme. We plan to recruit interns on a rolling basis throughout the year. See below for details on how to apply.

We hope that the opportunity to work in an intellectually challenging and practical environment will provide valuable experience for successful candidates, giving great experience and insights into the work of a young and rapidly growing charity whose work has an impact on the lives of individuals suffering abuse, on the professionals who seek to support them and on policy makers and funders.

About Us: Co-ordinated Action Against Domestic Abuse (CAADA) is a national charity supporting a strong multi-agency response to domestic abuse. Our work focuses on saving lives and saving public money. CAADA provides practical tools, training, guidance, quality assurance, policy and data insight to support professionals and organisations working with domestic abuse victims. The aim is to protect the highest risk victims and their children – those at risk of murder or serious harm. For more information on our work, please click here.

About You: If you are studying for an undergraduate or graduate degree, have between 4 and 8 weeks free, and want to gain valuable work experience in a challenging and vibrant environment then please read on. Candidates will be self-motivated, resourceful with an eye for detail, excellent communication skills and a desire to make a difference. Interns will be based in our office in Bristol. These are volunteer positions, but we will cover reasonable travel expenses and lunch of up to £10 per day. These are full time positions but hours can be flexible and this will not affect your chances of selection.

Current positions:

Development intern: to work with the Chief Executive and Director of Professional Development to analyse the opportunities to develop CAADA's services in new sectors particularly in relation to public health and child protection. This would include both research and some limited financial analysis. Time 4-8 weeks

Insights intern: to work with the Director of Insights to develop a statistical annual return for specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advisor services and associated database. This would include defining the information to be gathered, surveying services and gathering the data, entering it into a database and analysing the key findings. Time 4-8 weeks

Relationship management intern: To work with the Director of Insights to create a CAADA relationship management database including defining the fields, identifying the data sources, designing and agreeing a process and managing the implementation to create a database that is suitable for importing into a CRM system. Time 4-8 weeks

How to apply:

Please send your CV and a one page covering letter explaining, which position you would like to apply for, what you have to offer and why you are interested in being an intern at CAADA to Diana Barran, Chief Executive at ceo@caada.org.uk .
