Our five year strategy

Over the next five years, CAADA aims to:

  • Halve the number of victims experiencing high risk domestic abuse from 100,000 to 50,000.
  • Halve the average time it takes victims to seek help from 5 years to 2.5 years.

To achieve this, we will:

  • Promote the early identification of domestic abuse. In particular, we aim to find ways to extend the reach of IDVA services to marginalised women who are not visible, or who are unwilling to access, the criminal justice system particularly by integrating them more with health services.
  • Provide training, support and practical tools to shape service provision nationally (especially for victims with complex needs).
  • Share and embed best practice both in terms of sustaining the multi-agency response and through our Leading Lights programme.
  • Explore ways to move to outcome-driven funding for the sector, using the evidence from Insights and the practical feedback that we get from working with services, and link it to better outcomes for victims.
  • Make CAADA a great and effective place to work.
